Auburn Diagnostic Imaging offers a specimen collection site operated by Lab Outreach of East Alabama. The Lab Outreach specimen collection site is committed to providing high quality, compassionate healthcare services for the patients of our community. No appointment is necessary; however, an order from a physician is required. Depending on the orders, lab work may need to be collected at a specific time of day and/or require diet restrictions. Lab specimens are transported to the East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) Laboratory via courier service operated by Lab Outreach. Results of any lab testing will be sent directly to the ordering physician.
The EAMC Laboratory is a high complexity laboratory offering a broad test menu and rapid turnaround times for specimen processing and result reporting. Both laboratory services operate under Independent Clinical Laboratory licensures and are subject to the standards required by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). Lab Outreach is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC). The Main Laboratory at East Alabama Medical Center is accredited by the College of American Pathologist (CAP).
